Welcome to the Joe Thompson State Farm Insurance agency! Our team of licensed insurance professionals is here to help get you the insurance coverage to fit your needs. Not only can we assist with Auto, Home & Renters, Life & Health Insurance, Personal Articles, Financial Services, and more, but we also assist small business owners with their commercial lines!

As your local insurance agent, we serve the entire state of Virginia including but not limited to the cities of Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Newport News, Hampton, and Suffolk. We are also licensed in Maryland and North Carolina!

Additionally, we proudly serve our military and out-of-state transfers. We offer free notary public services and have a Spanish-speaking team. Outside of work, I am a resident of Virginia Beach where my wife, Anna, and I enjoy surfing, fishing, golfing, and other outdoor activities. We have a dog named Jackson and welcomed our daughter, Quinn, in May 2022. Together, we are enjoying being first-time parents and are constantly wishing time would slow down.

I was raised outside of Annapolis, MD, and attended The University of Virginia where I was a student-athlete and captain of the men's lacrosse team. After college, I spent most of my professional career teaching and coaching until I took the leap as an entrepreneur and opened my State Farm agency. Account Manager

Brittney has many years of experience in the insurance industry and she brings a wealth of knowledge and top notch customer service. Prior to insurance Brittney filed taxes for corporate companies, which awarded her Super Mathematician Award with Liberty Tax Corporate office.  When Brittney is not busy working, she coaches a statewide dance team, touring and competing in several states around the world.  In addition, she is also working on getting her degree in Business management. Brittney enjoys cooking and going to the movies with her two children.
